HOW DOES OUR CHIROPRACTIC PROGRAM WORK?

CHIROPRACTIC CARE

Chiropractic is a very sage and natural form of prevntative care. Our patients experience better overall health and less pain.

A 2007 study of the cost of health care expenses for those who participate in regular chiropractic showed a 60.2% decrease in hospital admissions. Additionally a decrease of 59% in hospital day, 62% outpatient surgeries and procedures, and 85% pharmaceutical costs when compare with conventional medicine. (See the study here)

When the body is out of alignment by even a small amount the nervous system is negatively effected. Keep in mind that your nervous system is the communication pathway to every organ in your body. They are all connected. Your spine is basically the super highway for all of these connections. This means it is very important to have proper alignment of the lumbar, thoracic, and cervical spine.

You may need to see a chiropractor if…

you’re suffering from any of the following ailments:

  • Back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Numbness, pain, tingling
  • Headaches
  • Fatigue
  • Poor sleep quality
  • Injuries due to car accidents or falls
  • Taking too many painkillers
  • Weak immune system (you’re sick often)

Chiropractic sets healing into motion

Often times you hear people say that once you start getting adjusted you have to go all the time. This is true, but not for the reasons you probably think.

One reason for seeing the chiropractor regularly is that chiropractic is different than emergency medicine, surgeries, and pharmaceuticals. Although patients often experience immediate relief of their symptoms, most of the problems that we fix didn’t happen overnight. They took time to occur and for that reason they will usually take time to heal. Without seeing your chiropractor you would still be in pain and not getting any closer to healing the root of the problem.

Another reason for seeing the chiropractor often is once a person experiences what it feels like to be in perfect alignment and health, they don’t want to stop. They become addicted, not to the adjustments themselves, but to the way that chiropractic helps them to live a pain free health life.

Pretty amazing right?

chiropractor for headaches

HEADACHES

Migraines, cluster headaches, and tension headaches can all be caused by referred pain from the upper neck and back. You shouldn't have to deal with headaches and if you are, and adjustment may reduce or stop your headaches completely.

UPPER BACK PAIN

The upper back and rhomboids can be a troublesome area. Discomfort between the shoulder blades can also be caused by an injury or poor posture. Our patients find relief from upper back pain when they come in for regular adjustments.

NECK PAIN

Typically neck pain is caused from traumatic injuries, stress or poor posture. If you're experiencing neck pain regularly and would like to no longer suffer, reach out to us.

SHOULDER PAIN

Pain in the shoulder joint can be caused by overuse, injury, and lack of proper posture. As you might already know this can be limiting to your activities. Dr. Paffenbarger has been trained to adjust shoulder joints to reduce pain and increase function.

ELBOW PAIN

Elbow pain is often referred to as golfer's elbow or tennis elbow. This type of pain is usually caused by inflammation of the tendons and ligaments. Elbows can and should be adjusted when they are not functioning properly.

WRIST PAIN

That feeling in your wrist is most likely from pressure on the median nerve. It causes tingling sensations, numbness, or loss of control of the fingers and hand. Sitting at a desk is often the culprit for wrist pain. See Dr. Paffenbarger for a consultation and stop your wrist pain.

FINGER AND HAND PAIN

Overuse of the fingers and hand can cause discomfort. Each finger and bone can be manipulated to relive pain. The proper alignment of the bones in your hand and fingers is very important. Brachial plexopathy is damage to the brachial plexus nerves. This will cause numbness, tingling, burning, and weakness. See a chiropractor right away if you're experiencing any of these symptoms.

LOW BACK PAIN

A large portion of the population experiences lower back pain. Most people will never seek the proper care to stop the pain in their lower back. Bad posture, improper lifting, and poor diet are common causes. Chronic low back pain will need regular adjustments so the body can heal and function properly.

HIP PAIN

Yes, hips can be adjusted too. If you have hip pain you understand how sever it can be at times. Acute hip pain and chronic hip pain can be improved or eliminated with chiropractic care. If you're experiencing dull to sharp pain, numbness, tingling, bursitis, sciatica, or arthritis then we can help you find the relief you're looking for.

KNEE PAIN

Often called runner's knee, misalignment of the knee joint and strains of the ACL, MCL, and meniscus can all cause inflammation and discomfort in the knee. In order to find relief you may want to consult Dr. Paffenbarger. If your body didn't want you to pay attention to your injuries it would not hurt in the first place.

ANKLE AND FOOT PAIN

Putting your weight on what feels like an injured foot or ankle can be excruciating. There are lots of nerve endings in the foot making it a very sensitive area. Often times the pain experienced in the foot is caused by overcompensation. The body will try to make up for injuries or biomechanical dysfunction further up the body. In reverse, a foot or ankle injury can cause joint alignment issues in the upper parts of the body as well.
